Build Community & Make Music With Your Family at this Interactive Drumming Experience for Military and First Responder-Connected Families! Join Resounding Joy Midwest for a series of monthly Music Resiliency Drum Circles for military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families! These drum circles are a great way to build community, decrease stress and anxiety, and have fun with your family! No previous music experience needed, and drums are provided! Resounding Joy’s Board-certified music therapists provide music therapy on site throughout San Diego County. The team provides services through four distinct programs, each targeting a separate underserved population that demonstrates high potential to benefit from music therapy services. Mindful Music brings recreational and supportive music to seniors of all abilities in nursing and retirement facilities, Healing Notes treats children at Rady Children’s Hospital, Semper Sound shares music therapy with veterans struggling with disabilities or psychological challenges, such as those arising from PTSD and TBI, and Sound Minds gives music therapy to at-risk teens with young children at local schools to facilitate development and parent-child bonding.
