Description

I’ve got an idea…I’m just not sure of how to get it off the ground. I’ve been a drug addict all my life. I have passions and goals and dreams that I want to fulfill, however my addiction hold me back. At this point in my life, I’ve managed to lose sight of all the above. I e been to NA as well as AA and those are not for me. I have a strong desire to get off and stay away from drugs. Where my problem lies is I need like a buddy system, “sponsor” but not a sponsor. I’m looking for Military Veterans that have been diagnosed with PTSD. From my lens, these people have drive, discipline, and strength beyond comprehension. It would be ideal if I found someone with enough time per se, that if I had a moment of drug craving I could call them up and we can go hang out an play basketball, go walk Riverside, or ride the scooters at the gathering place. And when they have a moment when their mind gets into a bad space they can call me up and we can go play basketball, walk Riverside, or ride scooters at the Gathering Place. I understand that not just any Veteran would want the daunting task of a crack head. First, I’m not a crack head, and second I do believe this could be a real program given the opportunity and methodical planning. In my mind, I need someone that has stability, discipline, routine, respect, and strength to help me achieve my goal of staying off of as well as away from drugs. I’ve been wondering if a Vet with PTSD would benefit from replacing their moments they have of bad memories with making good ones. Thus in the end, 2 lives saved. This is a rough idea I have….so please let me know what you think. I do not mean any offense here whatsoever, all the above is said with a hopeful heart. Thanks for reading, may God bless all of us!!!
