A-Trak 'In The Round' with Ric Wilson and Boi Jeanius 17+ A-Trak Ric Wilson, Boi Jeanius Doors: 730PM | Show: 830PM A-Trak, a.k.a. Alain Macklovitch, is the quintessential cultural connector. His 20-year career has seen him take turns as an internationally renowned turntablist, Grammy-nominated producer, innovative remixer, globetrotting DJ and more. As a founder of New York’s celebrated Fool’s Gold Records, half of the legendary house duo Duck Sauce and, more recently, The Brothers Macklovitch alongside his brother Dave 1 of Chromeo, A-Trak is one of the most prolific names in music today. In the spirit of his own break at the age of 15, he remains committed to spotlighting emerging talent across his various endeavors, most notably by hosting his annual DJ and Beat Battle, Goldie Awards since 2017. He continues to release music to critical acclaim with all of his projects and under his own name, including a string of house collaborations this year: "My Own Way" with Ferreck Dawn, "Funk U" with Weiss, “Know Each Other” with Friend Within and “Groove Society” with Wongo. -- Thalia Hall will require all staff, patrons, and performers to provide proof of full vaccination OR a negative Covid-19 test performed within the previous 72 hours prior to entry beginning on Monday, August 9. Patrons will be asked to show their valid vaccination card or negative test results (photocopy or digital photo is permissible) when they arrive at the door for entry. Additionally, masks will be worn by staff at all times and will be required of all attendees when not eating and drinking regardless of vaccination status. We are applying these requirements to all shows through Oct 31, 2021 and will update the policy as needed or as new guidance requires. It’s been a positively joyful experience to see people return to our beloved concert hall for shows again, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to keep guests, staff, and artists safe during this time. A-Trak Ric Wilson, Boi Jeanius Thalia Hall is a historic landmark located in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. It was founded by John Dusek at the turn of the century as a neighborhood establishment. Dusek was a family man, a tavern owner, and a facilitator of the arts. He was a visionary, and the founding father of Thalia Hall. His hope for the corner of 18th & Allport was to build a public hall for the community. In 1892 his dream became reality: a multi-purpose property that would offer commercial storefronts, residential housing, and a hall for the community. In September 2013, owners Bruce Finkelman [Beauty Bar, Bite, Empty Bottle, EBP, Longman & Eagle] and Craig Golden [Longman & Eagle, Space, Union] launched three new concepts within this storied property: a re-established beer inspired restaurant, a Punch focused cocktail bar, and a public hall fit for all types of events.
