Learn how students, starting in 8th grade, can get college and career-ready!
Join Futures and Fusian Academy of San Mateo in hosting Amy Morgenstern as she shares her expertise on College Admissions.
Families will learn:
What should students do to be more “desirable” for colleges?
What skills should students focus on in high school? (ie. Executive functioning, etc)
When should students start thinking about college/post-secondary life (College options, Majors,
Career explorations, etc) and how do they get started?
How can parents support their students in the application process?
What should parents and students expect with the transition to college?ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. Amy Morgenstern (affectionately known as “Dr. M”) founded Blue Stars admissions Consulting in 2010 and developed the company’s life-coaching
style of college counseling. Her approach to working with teens combines
deep listening, inspirational conversation, and strategic thinking with life-skills training. She fervently believes that when teens are given the time to consider their options, they make very good decisions. A first-generation college student herself, Dr. M holds a Ph.D. in philosophy and an MFA in contemporary art.
