Discover Cooking with Lavender!
Do you love lavender in your body and bath products? Now you can also learn to cook with lavender and bring it into your kitchen!
Using the beautiful local lavender produced by Lavineyard Farms, this class will introduce you to Culinary Lavender. Culinary Lavender is a member of the mint family and is close to rosemary, sage, and thyme. The flower buds, leaves, and stems of lavender can be used fresh or dried and lend themselves beautifully to both sweet and savory dishes. The lavender flowers add a beautiful color to salads, in a glass of champagne, with chocolate cake, or as a garnish for sorbets or ice creams. The spikes and leaves of culinary lavender can be used in most dishes in place of rosemary. Try it in hearty stews and meat dishes, potatoes, breads, and sauces. Create your own Herbs de Provence to use in other dishes. There is so much you can do with Culinary Lavender. We offer two classes – Savory and Sweet. Join us for one or both of these unique cooking classes to learn more and expand your lavender options.
