Please join The Independence Fund and our partners as we provide food and cleaning supplies to veterans. Who: Volunteers partnering with The Independence Fund and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to provide food and cleaning supplies to area Veterans. What: Drive thru event. Feeding Independence! Serving our Nation's bravest by providing items to veterans to help them be able to meet basic needs during challenginging times. We will ask you to assist in loading food boxes and supplies into the Veterans vehicles, with the potential of limited deliveries. When: Thursday, Sept 16th from 8am-12pm Where: Volunteers will meet at the parking lot of the South Charlotte VA Clinic at 3506 West Tyvola Road, Charlotte, NC, 28208 Why: Many of the Veterans and Caregivers served by The Independence Fund have injuries that leave them immune compromised and susceptible to respiratory conditions. The Feeding Independence event provides these basic supplies that will ensure these American heroes have their needs met.
