Join artist, Pablo Rivera for a workshop in self-portraiture. This drawing class is designed for artists of all levels of experience. In this class, Pablo Rivera will lead students to use mirrors, cell phone "selfies", and observational skills to investigate this familiar subject matter. Students will explore the uniqueness of their own self-portrait through a series of exercises and drawings. Students should bring sketchbooks, charcoal, pastels, pencils, and any other drawings materials they wish to use. Pablo F. Rivera is a painter, sculptor and photographer, and graduate of the Cooper Union Art School in NYC where he attended workshops at the School of Visual Arts and the Educational Alliance. His work has been shown at MOCA Jacksonville, the Cummer Museum, the Vault Gallery, the St. Augustine Art Association, the Jacksonville Watercolor Society and the Florida Watercolor Society. Pablo Rivera is currently an instructor in watercolor, and stone sculpture at the Art League of Jacksonville.
