Inspired by the sounds and energy of The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, and Patti Smith, Kiss the Tiger has breathed new life into 21st century rock and roll. In February of 2017 Kiss the Tiger were the runner-up in Star Tribune’s ‘Are You Local?’ Best New Band competition. Shortly after they recorded their EP, “Elliot Park” which was released in November of 2017. The music video for “Starting to See You” off of “Elliot Park” was named one of Minnesota’s Best Music Videos of 2018 by 89.3 The Current. The Black-eyed Snakes is an American blues rock band from Duluth, Minnesota. Since releasing their debut album "It's the Black-eyed Snakes" in 2001, the band has toured the U.S., including with Charlie Parr, among others. Front man Alan Sparhawk also performs with Low and Retribution Gospel Choir. Black-eyed Snakes was selected by City Pages as the Best New Band of 2001. Sparhawks described the band's attitude towards the blues: "We actually hate most blues. We were trying to destroy it. We're interested in putting the blues back into a gut level – instead of talent, we go with feeling more." S U P E R I O R S I R E N is an eerie folk project from Duluth, Minnesota. The captivating music is inspired by Lake Superior and Siren mythology. Superior Siren is led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Laura Sellner. In 2016 Sellner joined forces with cellist Rachel Gobin, bassist Nyssa Krause, and drummer Emma Deaner to create a alluring blend of vocals, strings, and percussion. The collective released the first full-length album in 2018, followed by a tour of the Midwestern United States. On May 7th, 2021 Superior Siren released a solo EP of original material spotlighting Laura Sellner’s poignant songwriting. ----- Food & Beverage The Hook & Ladder Theater boasts a full bar with exciting signature summer drinks, ice cold Summit Brewing beer and has also partnered with food vendors to present an exciting summer menu along with a number of scheduled ‘pop-up’ chef appearances.
