WESTFORD, MA — The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester is congratulating 822 incoming freshman who will be starting classes in September, including Anya Brown of Westford. Applicants to Holy Cross distinguished themselves through community service, leadership roles, and diverse participation in areas like the arts, music and athletics, said the school in a news release. The new "Crusaders" will move in on Saturday, August 28 and begin classes on Monday, September 6. The Class of 2025 includes students from 33 states and 15 countries and is made up of 54% women and 46% men, with 23% of students coming from ethnically diverse backgrounds and 16% as first-generation college students. "I am thrilled to welcome Holy Cross' Class of 2025 - a vibrant and diverse group of exceptional students who are also one of the most academically accomplished classes in the College's history," said Holy Cross President Vincent Rougeau in a statement. "I can't wait to see what you do and how you will grow ethically, spiritually and intellectually on The Hill."
