We are seeking top-notch working foremen, and journeyman carpenters with at least 4 years experience in residential frame and finish carpentry. Job Description: The Working Foreman/Site Superintendent is responsible for the successful completion of the jobs assigned to him, including performing projects on time, on budget, and with a high level of quality and safety. The Site Superintendent will also maintain good communication with team members, customers and vendors. Responsibilities include: Journeyman, rough and finish carpentry – giving direction. Strong verbal communication and people skills; continuous communication with customers and keeping them informed and happy on a daily basis Knowledge and skills in residential remodeling and construction, with astute attention to detail Supervision of subcontractors and company carpenters. Pre-construction planning and performing material takeoffs and orders. Construction scheduling. Understanding all contract documents including plans, specifications, and change orders. Complying with building codes, scheduling of inspections and obtaining final inspection able to read blueprints and contracts Serving as a role model for carpenters and subcontractors working job-site. Insuring that work is done safely in adherence to company policies. Job site protection, and cleanliness. Owns appropriate transportation & tools Participates in assigned meetings with customers, design professionals, inspectors. Dedication to show up on time Minimum Qualifications: 5 to 10 years carpentry experience in residential construction Prior experience as a lead carpenter Knowledge of principles of construction project management Knowledge of permitting procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills Associate college degree preferred S.
