YONKERS, NY — A Yonkers man was arrested by Norwalk police officers in connection with a large-scale fentanyl trafficking operation in Connecticut. Orlando Jimenez was arrested in Norwalk on Thursday afternoon, according to police. Police found Jimenez with 4.4 pounds of pure fentanyl and large sums of money, according to a statement from Norwalk police. The total street value of the drugs in Jimenez's possession was approximately $80,000, authorities said. The sting followed a long-running investigation, which included agents from Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division, the New York and Connecticut field divisions of the DEA and the Danbury Police Department Narcotics Unit. "A tiny amount is deadly, even if inadvertently inhaled or touched, and puts all first responders coming into contact with the substance, at risk. Jimenez is being charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. He is being held without bond pending a court appearance.
