I saw you from my shop window on MLK. You had a skateboard strapped to your back and a cute dog that plopped its butt down before you made it to the busy intersection. I watched you reason with them and then scoop them up in your arms so that the cars wouldn’t scare them. Watching you kiss your pup on the head multiple times while waiting for the traffic to clear was the most pure and wonderful thing I’ve seen in weeks. When you got to the other side and had another whole conversation while trying repeatedly to make your pupper look you in the eyes, my heart exploded into crackling pop rocks. I needed that, dude. This week I really needed that. Thank you.
