PRINCETON, NJ - The Princeton Public Library closed on Friday after a staff member reported being exposed to coronavirus, the library announced. The library will be closed at least through Sunday. "Throughout this long, circuitous journey we've all been on with COVID-19, the library has prioritized one thing over all else: the health and safety of the public and our staff," the library said on their website. The Sands Library Building will be closed from Friday, Aug. 27 through at least Sunday, Aug. 29. The library hopes to reopen the building on Monday. Currently, contactless pickup will continue to be available at the back entrance, off Sylvia Beach Way. Book drops will remain open to process returns. Virtual programming will continue and librarians will be available to answer questions via phone, email, and chat during regular operating hours, the library said. Check the library website before planning a visit on Monday. Thank you for reading. Have a correction or news tip?
