MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Hello neighbors! Welcome to our weekly events roundup, where we tell you about what's happening in Mercer County. Here's are some events we think you might enjoy: Instant Funk and Epic Soul, Mercer County Festival Grounds: Enjoy music at the Mercer County Fair Grounds on Saturday, 6 p.m. onwards. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and pack coolers with sealed bottles of water. No glass bottles. The parking fee is $5 and will apply to Festival Grounds events. Sangria Weekend, Terhune Orchards: On Saturday, enjoy some sangrias and relaxing music at Terhune Orchards Vineyard in a socially distanced event. Live music from local artists begins 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Bill O'Neal & Andy Koontz will perform on Saturday and Roundabout on Sunday. No admission fee. International I Love Braids Day, Trenton War Memorial: The Trenton Downtown Alliance will celebrate and honor the history and design of braids as a cultural and artistic expression of beauty at a free event On Saturday. The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a showcase of unique braids, interactive selfie stations, hand sanitizing stations, hair show, giveaways, live DJ playing Afro-Caribbean beats, shopping, delicious food, and more. Click here for event details. Darts For Dreams, Hamilton Township: Darts for Dreams is an annual event hosted by the Greater Trenton Dart League to benefit Make-A-Wish New Jersey. Since 2006, over $500,000 has been collected with every single dollar raised going to MAWNJ to support the wishes of children with critical illnesses in Mercer County. This year's event will be a hybrid one - people can attend in-person or online from the comfort of their homes. Weather permitting, there will be a dart area set up outside to participate. The event is on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Cook Athletic Association, 411 Hobart Ave, Hamilton Township. Click here for tickets and to donate. 1st Annual Five Points Festival, Trenton: A number of events have been planned this weekend as part of the Five Points Festival in downtown Trenton. The Throwdown for Downtown Cornhole Tournament at Main Street will begin at 11 a.m. Other activities include carnival games, face painting, bounce houses, music performances, food trucks, and more.
