ANNAPOLIS, MD — Environmentalists will host an electric vehicle event this Monday in Annapolis. The happening, organized by Annapolis Green, will connect electric vehicle owners with interested residents. "The small, intimate nature of this event will allow you to talk with EV drivers in depth and to get answers to your questions," the advocates said in a newsletter. "If you're just 'EV curious,' maybe not ready to update your ride just yet, this is a great event for you too." Always Ice Cream Company, which recently opened a second location, will sell treats on site. The gathering runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. outside Maryland Hall, located at 801 Chase St. This is the first of two upcoming electric vehicle symposiums. The environmentalists will additionally celebrate National Drive Electric Week with a larger showcase on Sept. 26 at City Dock from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More information on both events is available here. The state capital has increasingly embraced green transportation. The city this spring announced plans for 13 electric vehicle charging stations.
