BOULDER, CO — Five people suffered injuries, including a firefighter, in a Boulder apartment fire Thursday night, fire officials said. None of the injuries were life-threatening, Boulder Fire-Rescue said. Firefighters were called around 10 p.m. to the 4200 block of Monroe Drive. The crew received reports that people were trapped on the second floor, fire officials said. Two adults and two youth then jumped from the second floor with their two dogs, Boulder Fire-Rescue said. It is not known whether the dogs suffered injuries. A firefighter was hospitalized as a precautionary measure and released, fire officials said. An investigation into the cause of the fire was underway. Boulder police, the Louisville Fire Department and American Medical Response also responded to help Boulder Fire-Rescue.
