WATSONVILLE, CA — Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency will be temporarily closing its Watsonville mass vaccination site from Sunday, Aug. 29 to Sept. 8. The Watsonville Vaccination Center at 250 Main St., operated by OptumServe, will reopen beginning Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and Sundays. Appointments can be made online when the site reopens. Want to schedule an appointment while the site is closed? Check the county website to find out where you can get the jab. "Vaccines are safe and effective, and are the best way to protect the health of yourself, your loved ones and the community, including those not yet eligible for vaccinations," the Health Services Agency said in a statement.
