About the Position: Supported Living Specialist As a Supported Living Specialist, you would provide one on one support for adults with developmental disabilities as they interact with their communities. Your goal would be to provide respectful, personal, and motivating services that enable our clients to participate in all aspects of their community, and lead meaningful lives centered around independence and empowerment. You would assist our Supported Living management team in providing the day-to-day support of our clients. Ensuring client shifts are filled and support staff are trained in their duties, while advocating for and supporting clients in accessing the community. In this role, you would also have the opportunity to become an emergency cell phone responder. This role includes using your organizational and critical thinking skills to answer our emergency cell phone, arrange staff coverage and directly respond to cover shifts. *** During the Shelter In Place, we are supporting EBI clients to limit the amount of exposure to the virus. As an agency we are working to decrease the amount of time our clients go into the community and finding more activities to do in the client's home. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position working 5 days per week at 40 hours. You would provide coverage for open shifts and for staff absences. The shifts worked would vary according to the support needs of our clients: day time, evening, overnights and weekends will be included. The Specialist schedule will change every 2 weeks based upon department needs and will consist of two weekends a month, evening shifts, and potential overnights.
