First saw you sitting with your Starbux cup on the waiting bench at Colorado Boulevard and 8th avenue stop, Thursday morning. What a handsome bearded man, I thought. There’s potential. But my heart sank when you almost got in and yet seem to have lost your ticket so you didn’t make it. Oh well, we’ll meet again some day if we’re truly meant for each other, I thought. Come Friday, and how happy I am when I saw you again, looking dapper with your brown satchel and of course, a coffee cup of your fave brand, on the same stop. Sigh. I keep sneaking to memorize you. You almost caught me looking, but I looked away. I’m shy for someone so breathtaking if you only knew! You got back to checking your phone or Kindle. I know you were checking me out too at my corner near the exit door. Then suddenly arriving Colfax and Lincoln, this man in front of you who seem to have some mental disability, tried to harss you. I’m glad that he didn’t hurt you and you handled it calmly and with grace. The more I already fell in love with you! Soon we both got off at Glenarm Parking. You walking first, me behind, but I can see your eyes-behind-your-head looking at me! My heart sank again when we parted at 16th street, bye for now I said to myself and continued to walk on my way to work. But then to my surprise, I saw you walking past 17th where I’m heading! I did hope you saw me on your side. I didn’t get a clue if you did saw me because you never turned around as I went ahead to the entrance of my workplace. Have a great day anyway, I said to myself. We’ll have our time. When that time comes, it will be magical, I promise. If you’re reading this, however it may be a long shot, please know that I’m just a shy man and would like to know you more! Let’s have coffee sometime, even if I don’t drink, at your favorite cafe. If you’re interested, that is. You know who you’ll say hi to.
