Description
City leaders have discussed installing a permanent suicide prevention measure on the Colorado Street Bridge as early as 2017. But officials are still split on what that would entail, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
The bridge currently has a temporary chain link fence installed in 2016 to act as a prevention measure, but that was meant only temporarily. The Star-News reported that a permanent solution that would fit in with the bridge's Beaux-Arts aesthetic has been elusive for officials.
However, the city may soon come to a permanent solution. Pasadena officials have directed staff members to narrow the choices down to two options.
