BURGETTSTOWN, PA — Fans of the legendary rock band Kiss were left in the lurch Thursday evening when the band canceled its scheduled performance at The Pavilion at Star Lake. The concert was postponed because guitarist Paul Stanley tested positive for the coronavirus. Those who showed up for the event prior to its official cancellation found gates to the venue locked. Kiss finally tweeted around the show's scheduled 7:30 p.m. start time that the concert was off. Tonight's #KISS show at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, PA is unfortunately postponed due to Paul Stanley testing positive for COVID. More information about show dates will be made available ASAP. Everyone on the entire tour, both band and crew, are fully vaccinated. pic.twitter.com/5UBvXmfWCY— KISS (@kiss) August 26, 2021 Rumors that Stanley, 69, had suffered a coronary incident were so prevalent that the guitarist took to Twitter to dispel them. PEOPLE!!! I am fine! I am not in ICU! My heart allows me to do 26 miles a day on my bike! I don't know where this came from but it's absolute nonsense.— Paul Stanley (@PaulStanleyLive) August 26, 2021 A rescheduled date for the concert has not been announced.
