ELMHURST, IL — In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving damage to a bar, a paintball shooting, a store confrontation, a fraudulent account and a dog bite. Here is information from the police reports: Bar incident A person kicked a hole through the wall Saturday at The Club Shot & Beer, 113 N. Addison Ave. An investigation is pending. The report was made Wednesday. Paintball shooting A driver told police that the occupants of a red Honda Civic shot a paintball at his car about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lake and Grand. The Honda then headed west on Lake. Officers checked the area, but were unable to find the suspects. Flooring removed A person told police that someone entered a building and removed flooring that had been installed by prospective tenants in the 100 block of West Park Avenue. The person suspected the prospective tenants removed the flooring after the lease agreement was not fulfilled. The case is pending an investigation. The incident occurred between Aug. 3 and Aug. 24. Store confrontation A man informed police that a woman had pushed his arm and took back a receipt she had given him about 3 p.m. Tuesday at Mariano's, 678 N. York St. Gym theft A person reported that someone stole several bank cards from a secured locker about noon Wednesday at LA Fitness, 620 N. York St. Fraudulent account A resident in the 200 block of North Bonnie Brae told police that someone used her information to open a T-Mobile account Wednesday. The victim contacted the phone carrier, which closed the account. Dog bites dog A woman told police she was walking her dog when the dog was bitten by another dog, which stuck its face through a fence, about 8 a.m. Aug. 17 in the 500 block of Hillside Avenue. An animal bite report was completed and sent to DuPage County Animal Services. The report was made Wednesday.
