ELMHURST, IL — Recent cases for the Elmhurst Police Department involved a weapons charge, harassment of customers at a store, underage drinking, fraud at dealerships and underage drinking. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports: Weapons charge Monique Gibbs, 34, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grand and Lake on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a firearm. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Gibbs was found with a loaded gun without a valid concealed carry permit. Police had responded to the area because of a disturbance. Harassing customers Police were called about 10:30 a.m. Monday to Jewel, 944 S. York St., about a person harassing customers. The person was served a no-trespass notice at the store's request. Underage drinking Two 18-year-olds — one from Franklin Park and the other from Chicago — were cited about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Addison on charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor. In the same incident, Brandon Perez, 22, of Chicago, was cited on a charge of open alcohol in public. They were all released. Fraud A man said his signature was forged on a contract for a vehicle he purchased in 2017 at Napleton's Kia of Elmhurst, 727 W. Grand Ave. The man said a second purchase agreement was created with different information and a forged signature on Oct. 7. The case is pending an investigation. The report was made Monday.A sales representative at Elmhurst Toyota, 440 W. Lake St., told police Tuesday that a person bought a car using another person's identification on Aug. 17. The dealership learned that the same person had previously bought another car using a fraudulent driver's license. The case is pending an investigation. Suspicious person A man told police that someone approached him aggressively about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the area of City Hall, 209 N. York St. Officers found the person, who spoke in an aggressive tone. The person left without any problems. Fugitive driver An officer tried to stop a silver Infiniti sedan and a black BMW SUV, which both sped away from Oak Brook police. Both vehicles sped away from the Elmhurst officer and were last seen heading east on Interstate 290. The incident was shortly after midnight Tuesday at Brush Hill and York. Bicycle found A bicycle was found about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the parkway in the 400 block of South Washington Street. The bike was placed into evidence for safekeeping. Driving violations Diego Larcon, 19, of Chicago, was cited about 2 a.m. Wednesday at Clinton and North on charges of no valid driver's license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
