Wayne County Mandates Masks For All Schools And Day Cares

Wayne County, MI—The Wayne County Health Department announced on Friday that all local school districts and day care centers must immediately implement a mask mandate for all students, faculty, staff and visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, according to a news release. "With today's order, wearing a mask while indoors is now mandatory for all students, staff, employees and visitors at public, private and parochial educational settings, including daycare centers, throughout Wayne County," the news release said. Wayne County joins neighboring Oakland County as the two Metro Detroit counties to enforce a mask mandate for all local schools and day care centers. Macomb County has not issued any kind of a mask mandate.
