Fantagraphics is looking for a Warehouse & Shipping Manager in the company’s warehouse located near the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Start date: mid-to-late Sept. 2021. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Primary Responsibilities: • Process orders: Pick/pull items from inventory as listed on each order form Pack books to the highest standards of security for shipping Develop proficiency with on-site shipping software systems (FedEx, Shipstation, and Stamps.com.) • Maintain an accurate inventory: Responsible for storage and maintenance of inventory Manage post-pick stock-takes and annual inventory counts. • Receive and unload shipments of books (often on pallets) Cross check units received vs. paperwork of units shipped Report all units received to Office Manager and Inventory Manager • Pack & ship books and supplies for company trade shows Coordinate with Event Manager for list of inventory and meet specified deliverable date • Optimizing processes for packing and shipping orders from our ecommerce site • Some clerical tasks including data entry. • Maintain a clean and organized working environment. Secondary Responsibilities: We are looking for someone who is ready to bring their previous experience to help our shipping and fulfillment processes become more streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective. Identify areas of improvement for the completion of any/all shipping tasks. Skills: Familiarity with ShipStation a plus. Strong attention to detail, ability to work alone and to manage others, organizational skills to help streamline process and procedures, fast and efficient. Basic arithmetic skills (addition/subtraction), basic computer skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. To be successful in this role, you will need a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This is a physically demanding job that requires standing for long periods of time, walking, using a step stool and/or ladder, and lifting heavy items. Education: No Degree Required Experience: 2+ years working in a professional warehouse.
