Position Summary You will use your experience to assist screen printing operations by training and leading a group of employees to make sure all supplies and consumables for daily production are prepared in a timely manner. This includes mixing inks, exposing and rinsing screens, organizing art bags, reclaiming used screens, and cleaning tools. All daily duties will support screen printing production including cross-training different team members, R&D, and on-press development with press operators. DUTIES Follow daily schedules to make sure all order materials are prepared prior to production Mix and adjust inks to achieve consistent colors Use additives and activators to modify inks Expose and rinse screens on correct meshes and frame sizes Tape and label screens in preparation for orders Assemble job carts with all inks, screens, and tools needed for orders Reclaim screens back to their original clean state Clean tools and equipment Perform any maintenance or cleaning duties requested by Production Manager Assist in any other departments as needed RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all supplies and materials for scheduled orders are prepared for production Rotate staff between pre-press positions to ensure adequate cross-training Support production at all times Update and create process documents for training Collect and analyze data on team performance Keep a clean and efficient work area EXPERIENCE Must have 6+ months experience in screen printing industry mixing inks and/or preparing screens Experience with M&Rs digital screen room a plus QUALIFICATIONS Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in common units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic computer skills such as write an email, enter data in spreadsheets, launch and exit software Solid problem solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively listen and follow instructions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; work in and around a variety of industrial machinery and presses; bend over, squat, or climb. Able to frequently move and lift up to 40 lbs when necessary Good hand eye coordination Excellent vision including ability to adjust focus, close vision, distant vision, color awareness, and attention to small details. Desire to create quality products Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on changing schedule demands, including overtime. Schedules and shifts may change throughout the year.
