THANK YOU Experience: One full season of landscape work, lawn maintenance work or forestry work Workdays will be 8 hours, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Start times will move back to 8:00 am during the summer and possibly earlier when weather is extremely hot. Seasonal approximately from April 15th to November 1st. Summary: Some of the activities you will be engaged in are: maintenance of the grounds, buildings, and equipment, planting and maintaining ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns, mowing, weed eating, spring and fall cleanup, and seasonal changes. Forestry work will include chipping, raking, limbing trees, splitting and loading firewood, building burn piles and burning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plant and maintain vegetation through activities such as mulching, fertilizing, watering, mowing, and pruning. Dig holes, plant flowers, trees and shrubs, seed new lawns. Care for natural turf fields. Prune trees and shrubs, trim back flowers and weed flowerbeds. Inspect trees and plants for disease. Haul yard debris away using trucks. Pick up trash, clean and detail shop areas. Rake grass and gravel. May use special equipment such as chainsaws and chipping machines. Climb trees using ladders. Operate power equipment such as lawnmower, weed-eater, blower and hedge trimmer, dump truck, and tractor with various attachments, street sweeper and power broom. Maintain equipment, pick up sticks, rake, wash and detail vehicles, care for turf (weed eating, lawn mowing), dig holes, shovel, level dirt and chips, landscape grade. Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available on the job site and items are in usable condition. Maintain Equipment: clean, maintain and service machinery, hand tools and power equipment. Keep chipper blades sharp and log hours for service. Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Licenses and Certifications: Valid Montana Drivers License Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Have good close range and distance vision and depth perception. Be able to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, stand, sit, walk, talk and hear well.
