JOB PURPOSEThe purpose of the Warehouse Manager is to oversee and manage the daily operations of the company’s warehouse and offsite storage facilities to ensure smooth daily business operations, primarily for the company’s Staging business, but also for other company divisions as needed, most notably Product, and Design, Residential. Prior household/artwork moving and storage experience preferred.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist and manage warehousing and growth operations in collaboration with the Director of Staging, Product and Private Client division.Oversee inventory in the company’s web-based Portal.Generate and implement new ideas for enhanced storage space efficient, i.e. vacuum sealing pillows, etc.Ensure that all warehouse and transportation operations are cost effective and implemented efficiently.Participate in weekly Staging Warehouse and Installation calls with the Director of Staging, Associate, Warehouse, and Associate, Installation.Review the company’s installation schedule on a daily basis for the week ahead and weeks beyond to keep track of overall company logistics, staffing, and suggest adjustments to the Director of Staging as needed.Manage moving and storage logistics as a whole for the company.Obtain Certificates of Insurance for vendors as needed for company projects.Coordinate access to project sites to ensure smooth move-ins and move-outs.Manage changes and alterations to planned schedules with Clients and Customers in response to evolving needs and changes based on Client or Customer feedback.Liaise with all third-party vendors as they relate to the operations of warehouse.Schedule all moving companies or messengers for all outgoing shipments for all company projects.Serve as the main point of contact for the company’s installation team (principally, the Associate, Installation) for all major move-in and move-out activities as they relate to moving, company car use, and access.Ensure that all items are pulled and returned from projects in an orderly and consistent manner - actual work (both physical and digital) to be completed by and coordinated by others, mainly the Associate, Warehouse.Oversee and manage every item coming into and leaving the warehouse.Design and implement space allocation and storage solutions in response to the daily changing needs of the company’s business operations in relation to the Staging business primarily, but also the Product and Design, Residential divisionMonitor the various space requirements of the warehouse from storage, to delivery space, to outgoing shipment space, to art creation and drying space, etc.Purchase and oversee the installation of all physical components that comprise the warehouse, including but not limited to racks, storage containers (outdoor), art storage shelving, rug storage solutions, packing and shipping materials, etc.Oversee the Warehouse Associates and ensure their daily effectiveness, execution, punctuality, timeliness, and accuracy.Ensure that the warehouse assistants are keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, both inside and outside, on a daily basis.Ensure that the warehouse operates smoothly and is secured when on vacation, sick, or otherwise not working.Work with the company’s property and asset management team to facilitate building maintenance and upgrades as needed.Manage the company’s ordering email platform to properly file, schedule, and track deliveries placed by others.Ensure that items are properly named, photographed, and organized in the portal, specifically for those not currently associated with a Project - and communicate with the appropriate parties to rectify any outstanding errors or issues.Track condition of all inventory items stored in warehouse and note conditions in inventory records.Schedule and follow through on repair or reupholstery (etc.) work to bring damaged or unusable inventory items to good working condition.COMPENSATIONCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceAnnual discretionary performance bonusTwo weeks of PTOHealth insurancePTO for winter recess, major national holidays, etc. as noted on the annual company calendarDiscount sharing on any item purchase personally from a company vendorAnnual performance review with Director of Staging to determine compensation package and position changes Please apply online with ASH NYC at:
