We operate a 5 – star skilled nursing facility, a rest home, and a conference and renewal center. Our beautiful facility is in Weston, MA, conveniently just minutes off Route 128. In this hands-on position, under the supervision of the VP of Maintenance & Operations, the Maintenance Supervisor will have the opportunity to lead a great team in their day-to-day activities as well as special projects in the facility. Some responsibilities for this position include: • Directs maintenance staff for daily work schedules including daily work orders • Schedules staff for vacant room refurbishments • Oversees implementation of the life Safety Program. • Exterior grounds year-round maintenance • Oversees maintenance of facilities fleet of cars and trucks • Directs and works with staff removing snow and salting • Stocking materials for scheduled building maintenance • Purchasing repair components as needed Candidates Must: • Have 3 to 5 supervisory years of experience. • Possess good interpersonal skills. • Have a valid Massachusetts drivers’ license with acceptable driving record. • Health care experience is preferred. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. On a rotational schedule, will be required to be on call 24 hours a day/7 day a week, outside of the normal. An additional fee is paid for being on-call! REQUIREMENTS Physical requirements of this job include routine bending and lifting and pushing equipment. The job is performed by standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of 50 pounds. Other criteria include the ability to function independently; the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies; the ability to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly and upset residents within the facility.
