The Saint Thomas More Society invites you to join us on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. for the RED MASS at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.  Mass will be celebrated by Most Rev. David L. Ricken, DD, JCL.  Following Mass there will be a reception and dinner at Rock Garden Supper Club. Our speaker this year will be Fr. Paul Scalia, a Catholic priest in the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia, and son of the late Justice Antonin Scalia. Fr. Scalia, who came to national attention when he delivered the homily at his father's funeral, is a frequent speaker, and has written for various publications on faith and morals. He is also the author of the book That None May be Lost: Reflections on Catholic Doctrine and Devotion. Fr. Scalia will speak on "In Fairness to the Pharisees: Laws, the Law, and Catholic Lawyers" a reflection on how the Pharisee's obsession with the Law blinded them to the Truth that lies behind it and the implications for us today. Don't miss this unique opportunity to join us in prayer and to hear Fr. Scalia's reflections on those things that matter most. St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Green Bay - fostering high standards of ethics and professional responsibility in lawyers, exemplified by its patron, St. Thomas More (born February 6, 1478, martyred July 7, 1535), who as a servant of God, family man, lawyer, statesman and public servant showed lawyers and law people how rightly to order their lives.
