Description
Join UMES National Alumni Association & UMES Office of Alumni Affairs & Special Events for a special day of remembrance for Fallen Hawks. On September 13, 2021, our alma mater, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore will celebrate 135 years of HBCU Excellence. There will be activities scheduled all week to celebrate the momentous occasion. It is only right to end Founders' Day Week with a close out from our alumni body on our campus. During this time, we will honor the lives and the accomplishments of each and every Fallen Hawk via this celebration of life. With that being said, please join the University of Maryland Eastern Shore National Alumni Association & the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Office of Alumni Affairs & Special Events at the University Terrace Pavilion for our "Fallen Hawks Day of Remembrance" on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 2pm-9pm. There will be food, music and an environment-safe balloon release. We will close out the event at 9pm with fireworks. If you miss this event, there will be an event planned during homecoming as well. This event is FREE to alumni, students and friends; however, if you would like to donate, the proceeds will go towards the UMES 135th anniversary fundraiser. Food will likely go quickly so bear that in mind when considering your arrival time. Parking will not be available inside of the pavilion. No vendor opportunities available at this time. You are prohibited from selling anything at this event. ***MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED SINCE THIS IN AN OUTDOOR EVENT BUT PLEASE DO WHAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE.
