PLEASE READ THE DETAILS OF THIS FIELD TRIP CAREFULLY. EACH FIELD TRIP HAS UNIQUE GUIDELINES FOR AGES, NUMBER OF CHAPERONES, ETC. NO REFUNDS! Students and families will harvest vegetables and do other farm work. All food is given to the community free of charge. Come learn about agriculture and serve your community!! Please complete this waiver from First Fruits for each person attending: https://firstfruits.churchcenter.com/people/forms/208184. We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value. Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Any student that is registered without a chaperone will have their reservation canceled unless the family reaches out to the field trip lead and lets them know which registered chaperone will be responsible for their student. **To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.***Masks will be required for all indoor field trips per California state guidelines.As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them. Can I pay using my funds? This field trip is FREE but you must register to attend Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. What are the check-in procedures? HST Laura McCarley will greet you at the edge of the parking lot at 9:00 am. She will have a "Check In" sign. Is there on-site parking available? Free parking. The veggie field is located at 173 Buckley Road in San Luis Obispo. Our field is behind the office for Thousand Hills Pet Resort. Please drive slowly through the parking lot, follow the signs, and carpool if possible. Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? No, please feel free to bring a water bottle.
