Description
Grounds maintenance workers perform a variety of tasks to include mowing of grounds, edging of all walkways and plant beds, trimming of plants as needed, weeding by hand or spray as needed, painting, raking, trash removal, cleaning, and repair work commonly associated with condominiums common area. Responsibilities include working with the Property Management Company, Board of Directors and other staff to ensure that the grounds and facilities are clean and maintained. Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses/Skills Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Experience as a grounds maintenance employee Mechanical skills and knowledge as it relates to the position Ability to perform routine minor repairs Ability to read technical manuals/instructions/drawings Experience using a variety of hand tools Ability to work well with others Self-Motivated/Capable of working independently and staying on task Ability to manage difficult/emergency situations professionally Able to attend appropriate training and license/certification classes for the position as needed Certification to spray weed killer and pesticide preferred Position Duties and Responsibilities: To maintain, repair and landscape the property complex. Takes initiative to ensure that the building and grounds are maintained and in good repair. Follows the direction of the Property Manager and Board President Adheres to the established maintenance routines and schedules and completes all work in a timely and professional manner. Is observant throughout the property and reports to the property manager any items needing attention. Maintains an orderly and clean work environment, including returning all tools to their proper location. Takes pride and ownership in work responsibilities Communicates effectively with the Property Manager, Board President residents, staff and vendors. Conducts self in a respectful and dignified manner at all times and works well with others. Follows up and follows through with outstanding issues Arrives to work on time and ready to work Follows all OSHA and State of Florida regulations concerning safety. All machine guards will be used and proper safety equipment will be used such as eye protection, ear protection, etc. Any and all other duties as assigned Physical Requirements: Physically able to perform all duties as described Able to walk building and grounds on a regular basis each day Able to routinely lift 50 lbs alone, over 50 lbs will get help Ability to perform repetitive motions required in tasks such as painting, raking, sweeping, vacuuming, climbing ladders, etc Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours weekly Interested Candidates shall email us.
