Description
Calling all unapologetic women in the Black Hills , meet author Kristi Hemmer and learn how the "$20 a day mindset" can empower you too. South Dakota daughter Kristi Hemmer, M.Ed. will be stopping at Hippie Haven during her midwest MOXIEon book tour! Kristi will share insights gained while solo-traveling the world on $20 a day that inspired her to found the Academy for Women's Empowerment and to write 'Quit Being So Good: Stories of An Unapologetic Woman'. In this MOXIEtalk, we will explore what Kristi learned traveling 65 countries through stories, conversations, and community. Afterwards, there will be book signings & opportunities to connect with each other and Kristi 1-on-1! Discussion Topics: 1) Interdependence: Take what you need. Give what you can. 2) Choose good: Look for the good, trust in the good, and be the good in the world. 3) MOXIE: Have the guts to do what’s right. This event is for all unapologetic women in the Black Hills - the entrepreneurs, the leaders, the educators, the travelers, the hippies, the fierce mamas. YOU! Seats are limited, and they are FREE! Bring your favorite unapologetic friend for a night of connection, inspiration, and MOXIE. Kristi's book 'Quit Being So Good' will be available for purchase, and $1.00 from each book sale supports Project Diva’s work with Black girls in Minneapolis. About the author: When Kristi Hemmer, M.Ed. was a little girl, her dream was to be President, start her own school, and write a book. Today, Kristi is President - of her own company. She started her own school - Academy for Women’s Empowerment. And her book 'Quit Being So Good' launched on International Women's Day. Now, join Kristi on her MOXIEon Summer 2021 book tour to spread MOXIE (guts, self-assurance, pluck), inspire changemakers, and share stories from 'Quit Being So Good' that spark courageous conversations. She can’t wait to meet you and hear your story! Learn more at www.kristihemmer.com About the venue: Hippie Haven is a zero waste store & community space in Rapid City, South Dakota.
