We are looking to hire a licensed general contractor to help with building maintenance and repairs in Berkeley and Oakland. We are a medium sized property management company who needs Part Time to Full Time help on an as needed basis. We have a heavy steady flow of projects. An ideal candidate would have the following characteristics: * Must Live in Berkeley, North Oakland or Emeryville. * Required: Contractors license with liability insurance policy (1 million) and workers comp if you have employees. * Independent contractor with a successful repair business looking for extra work. * Expert Handy Repair Person who can fix everything, a master of all trades with high level skills in: Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Roofing, Tile, Drywall, Painting, ect, All Building Repairs. Basic Knowledge of appliance repairs, HVAC and all trades. * Ability to perform all repairs and be a creative problem solver. * Reliable and available to answer phone calls, respond to and complete all requests for service. * Available to help on nights and weekends as necessary in emergencies. * Fluent English speaking and writing. * Provide excellent customer service while in occupied structures. Has ability to interact with a diverse client roster and deliver a positive experience to our clients. * Must be detail oriented, effective in time management, and able to multitask handling multiple projects at the same time. * Clean Motor Vehicle Report and Criminal background, Drug FREE. * Has passion, energy, persistence, positive attitude, and enthusiasm * Pay is $60 per hour.
