Press release from the City of West Palm Beach: 08/25/2021 11:13 AM   WEST PALM BEACH, FLA (August 25, 2021) – As part of Mayor Keith A. James' Operation Clean Streets initiative, two city sanitation vehicles have been wrapped in messaging urging against illegal dumping and reminding of a reward up to $500 for illegal dumping tips. The trash collection vehicles will carry this message on their daily routes throughout the city. Ongoing since October 2019, Operation Clean Streets aims to curb illegal dumping in neighborhoods through education, enforcement and prevention. The effort is designed to improve the overall quality of life for residents, promote public safety in our neighborhoods, and attract economic investment to our city. Since the initiative's inception, at least seven people have been arrested, and more than 159,000 lbs. of illegally dumped material have been removed from neighborhoods.
