Join us for a Real Men Wear Pink FUNdraising event like no other! Great friends, food, casino table and music-Bringing the Big Easy to Tally I'm stepping up to fight breast cancer with all I have. Since I'm in a position to make a difference within my community, I believe I have an obligation to do so. By raising money and awareness through Real Men Wear Pink, I'm helping to save more lives from breast cancer. I am doing this for my wife, my daughter and my community. African American women have a 31% breast cancer mortality rate – the highest of any U.S. racial or ethnic group. Among women younger than 45, breast cancer incidence is higher among African American women than White women. Younger women in general, and younger African American women in particular, are more likely to present with the triplenegative subtype of the disease, a subtype that is both more aggressive and associated with a higher mortality.
