Description
LARGO, FL — The Greater Ridgecrest YMCA has partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay to offer a food pantry for residents in and around the Largo area.
Starting this Friday, the food pantry will be open Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA, 1801 119th St. N., Largo.
With food insecurity becoming a growing problem in many neighborhoods, the Ridgecrest Y decided to work with Feeding Tampa Bay to fill the void. Initially offering dry goods, the site will be staffed by volunteers and will be open to anyone who has a need.
Anyone interested in making a donation should contact Feeding Tampa Bay.
Feeding Tampa Bay anticipates it will serve more than 95 million meals this year.
