By Wednesday morning, the massive fire burning west of the Lake Tahoe Basin had grown to 122,980 acres with just 11% containment. It has burned several hundred homes and ravaged the community of Grizzly Flats. Thousands of other residents are anxiously watching the billowing smoke clouds on the horizon.
