PLAINFIELD, IL — A 33-year-old shirtless Wilmington man accused of following and yelling at another driver was arrested after a confrontation that started in Joliet and continued into Plainfield on Aug. 13, police said.
According to police, Timothy Sunzere blocked another person's car with his own and prevented them from leaving the area near Route 59 and Feeney Drive around 2:02 p.m. He was outside his car, shirtless, screaming at the other people when both Plainfield and Joliet officers arrived on the scene, police said.
After determining that no crime took place, Plainfield police told everyone they were free to leave the scene.
From there, police said Sunzere followed the other car from the intersection, drove recklessly through a neighborhood, and "continued alarming and disturbing" the other person involved. He stopped to confront them a second time and ignored multiple commands from police, according to officials.
Sunzere was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer, unlawful restraint, filing a false police report and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
