Description
ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Asbury Park School District recently published its updated reopening plan for when school reopens on Sept. 9.
In a bulletin on the district website, Acting Superintendent RaShawn M. Adams asked that parents keep up with the district's website as that would have the most up-to-date information on any changes to the plan that need to be made.
The school will be operating on a full-time, regular schedule, and as dictated by Gov. Murphy's recent mandate, masks must be worn, and three feet of social distance will be kept when possible.
If a student or staff member tested positive for COVID-19, they would have to quarantine for 10 days and be 24 hours fever-free, and consultation with the school nurse for students and district nurse for staff before they would be allowed to return to school or work.
Adams asked that if parents have any questions about the district's Safe Return Plan, they contact their school's principal.
