PLEASANTON, CA — Downtown Pleasanton's Weekend on Main street closures could be coming back in 2022. The Pleasanton Downtown Association said the City Council reports the return of the Main Street weekend closures, which are designed to accommodate pedestrian traffic, diners and shoppers heading to the city's downtown. "We will be working with our downtown businesses and the City of Pleasanton to continue to fine tune this event for the benefit and enjoyment of all," the association said. The association also announced that two Weekend on Main events remain this summer and new hours are in the works. Closures will end at 4 p.m. instead of 3 p.m. to accommodate parents, teachers, students and others, the association said. The final event will take place on Labor Day weekend. The Pleasanton Downtown Association said it will announce additional updates on its Facebook page as they become available.
