Press release from the City of Monrovia: August 24, 2021 Monrovia Canyon Park is excited to welcome you back beginning Monday, August 30! Since last September when the Bobcat Fire burned hundreds of acres in Monrovia, including Monrovia Canyon Park, the facility has been closed to the public. Staff and volunteers have contributed countless hours repairing trails, clearing fallen trees, painting facilities and aiding in regrowth. Thank you to our Monrovia Canyon Park Volunteers who spent countless hours getting the park ready for you! The community is invited to enjoy all hiking trails, including the Waterfall Trail, Nature Trail, Bill Cull Trail and Cunningham Overlook Trail! At this time, Monrovia Canyon Park will be open to visitors by reservations only. Our park may look different, but it's still a gem in our community! Here's what you can expect when visiting Monrovia Canyon Park. We ask you take extra caution when walking, hiking, or biking on our trails as we continue to have loose gravel and rocks along the trails. Our staff and volunteers will continue to work on clearing all areas of the park for your safety. If you need to contact staff please call us at (626) 255-6799. We are excited to invite you to enjoy all of our hiking trails in Monrovia Canyon Park. Our popular Waterfall Trail, Nature Trail, Bill Cull Trail, and Cunningham Overlook Trail are all accessible for you to enjoy. Stop by the Ranger Station to pick up a copy of our trail map! Sunday - Saturday 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monrovia Canyon Park is closed to vehicles on Tuesdays for routine maintenance, but still accessible for those walking/biking in. Reservations will be required for entry and a vehicle admission fee of $5.00 per vehicle, $10.00 on weekends, will be charged.
