IRVINE, CA—Four suspects believed to have burglarized multiple south Orange County residences were caught in the act of burglarizing a Blue Note home in Irvine, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reports. On Monday, a homeowner returned to their residence at approximately 9:30 p.m. to find four people inside, burglarizing their house. The suspects attempted to flee the scene in two separate cars but were blocked by deputies called to the area. OCSD surrounded both cars and found the suspects unwilling to cooperate. "Use of force occurred and the suspects were all taken into custody," OCSD spokesperson Brad Hylton told Patch. The sheriff's DUKE helicopter circled during the incident. Investigators later learned that one of the suspects was "acting as a lookout" while the burglaries occurred. "Suspects switched license plates on their cars to avoid detection," Hylton said. Prying and other burglary tools were found both inside and outside the cars used by the suspects, according to reports. Placed under arrest on suspicion of burglary, resisting arrest, and conspiracy were: Johan Martin Rivera Zambrano, 31 (warrant for arrest)Tonathiu Enrique Najera Torres, 44Jorge Damian Hernandez Berraga, 28 (warrant for arrest)Diego Aguilar Gonzales, 30 (warrant for arrest)"Officers recovered no stolen items due to the crime being interrupted," Hylton says. "The suspects provided fake names and were later found to have outstanding warrants from Los Angeles for burglary-related charges.
