Description
GLENDORA, CA — To help encourage drivers to take it easy around school zones during the school year, the Glendora Police Department has implemented a "Safe Driving Pledge."
The pledge is a joint effort by the police department, as well as the Glendora Unified School District and Charter Oak Unified School District. Participating drivers pledge to travel safely around school zones during the 2021/2022 academic year, the department said.
A free Safe Driving Pledge car magnet will be available to anyone participating and can be picked up at the police department or a local school.
Residents who complete the safe driving pledge by spring 2022 will be entered into a prize drawing. Anyone receiving a parking ticket or traffic citation loses their eligibility, police said.
Visit the Safe Driving Pledge website for more information.
