Description
DANVILLE, CA — Get your cardio in while supporting Danville students at the 38th annual Run for Education.
The run is organized by the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation, which raises and donates millions of dollars each year to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District with the help of its 35 campus fundraising partners, the foundation said on its website.
This year's event will be a virtual run, which means runners can complete their run on their own time, in any setting they prefer, according to the foundation.
Try for a 10K, 1K or anything in between from Sept. 10 to Oct. 10.
"We are excited about offering this fundraising opportunity to our schools," the foundation said on its website. "This is a healthy and fun family activity we can all enjoy while observing local guidelines AND raising funds to support our programs and people!"
The $25 registration fee includes a mask or cape with the foundation's logo. T-shirts are also available. Runners may upload their run time and downtown a certificate of completion.
Thirty percent of proceeds will benefit the school fundraising team of your choice. Each runner will receive a pledge page and 70 percent of those proceeds will go straight to the school of your choice.
