An exciting new season for Lucidity Collaborative Events has begun and we are seeking to grow our build team. We create beautiful shade structures with giant bamboo and colorful canopies for the events industry and have been a successful project of the Lucidity Festival LLC since 2013. Lucidity Collaborative Events is hiring temporary employees and independent contractors when applicable. THE ROLE: This role is for a crew member on our bamboo build team. We build shade structures, stages, entry portals and other unique bamboo and fabric installations. The role will require you to be physically able, to take direction, and work collaboratively as a part of a team. An eye for aesthetic and artistic beauty is valuable as sometimes we are adding decor to stages that are focal points of the events that we serve. Characteristics of the work: - Our work is physically demanding. Must be able to lift and move 50lbs comfortably - Requires focus throughout to maintain a best and safest work environment. - You may be asked to perform tasks that require a bit of creativity from you. - Must be comfortable working on ladders up to 12' tall - All tools to complete the work will be supplied - Work appropriate clothing including close toed shoes are a must. - Most work takes place between Thursday's and Sunday's COMPENSATION: The role pays $16.50/hr to start with opportunities to earn more after proving your reliability and good fit with our team. This role also usually comes with perks like free entry into music and special events in the Santa Barbara and Southern California area. If you’re coming from out of town, inquire about a travel stipend and we will do what we can to make it possible for you. This is also a great way to build a track record if you are interested in working with us at the Lucidity Festival in April.
