Fireplace Distributors of Nevada is looking for fireplace service technicians/installers to work on residential and contractor jobs. Position Description: This position is located in Reno, NV and the ideal candidate will have knowledge of gas, wood, and pellet stove installation. This employee will report to our office every morning to be given the installation schedule for the day and load up assigned company trucks with fireplaces, stove pipe, and all other equipment they may need. Installers will spend their days traveling from job to job in their company trucks servicing & installing fireplaces throughout Northern Nevada and California. Our installers work Monday-Friday, with occasional optional Saturdays, and report directly to one of the owners of the company. Essential Job Functions: • Work with another individual(s) to service/install electric, gas, wood, and pellet stoves/inserts in new construction and existing homes • Install pipe from connection point to stove • Develop an in-depth understanding of all hearth products and the service/installation process • Maintain superior communication with other employees and customers to insure installations are completed timely and meet quality standards • Complete job specific paperwork when necessary • Read and understand documents related to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and installation manuals • Communicate with builders and residential customers professionally • Other duties as assigned Requirements/Qualifications: • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds • Physical abilities of excessive bending, kneeling, sitting, standing, climbing, roof work, and use of power tools • Be able to work individually or with other team members and effectively communicate with other staff • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record • OSHA 10 certification preferred • Hands on mechanical experience a plus • Prior installation experience preferred We offer great benefits such as: *Medical insurance (a portion of which is paid by the employer) *Dental insurance *Vision insurance *Life insurance *Supplemental benefits such as disability and accident coverage *401k with profit share or employer match *Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time
