Help restock a food pantry that helps feed New Yorkers in need!
The United Jewish Council of the East Side (UJCES) supports the Lower East Side and wider NYC community with human services and community development programs. While the majority of services are oriented to seniors, we also have programs for families and children. UJCES volunteers are essential to our mission as we serve New Yorkers.

We are looking for 1-2 groups of up to 10 volunteers to help unload and organize large truck deliveries of grocery items, to restock two food pantries.
Instructions are provided on site. Tasks include bending and lifting heavy materials. This opportunity involves unloading items from a truck outdoors and bringing them into an indoor facility, place rain or shine. UJCES practices recommended social distancing and safety protocols related to COVID-19.

You can join compassionate people in supplying nutritious food to the New York City community.
