Funk/Retro R&B Project Seeking Guitar, Bass, Drums

Hi all, I am a full-time, professional Keyboardist in Madison and I’m looking to put together a Retro R&B/Funk project based out of the area. Both originals and some covers. Think Steely Dan, TOTO, Boz Scaggs, Ambrosia, or today, Black Pumas, Anderson East, John Mayer, Neal Francis, etc. I have several opportunities for gigs and I just need to assemble a band to finally get going. All gigs are paid opportunities for all band members. I am looking for: -An electric rhythm & lead guitarist, electric bassist, and drummer -Good familiarity with R&B/Funk music, ideally some blues and soul too -Solid understanding of basic & intermediate music theory (not necessarily important for drummers) -A willingness to grow with the project and be open to gig-related travel -Availability to rehearse and a positive attitude about it -Looking for candidates on the younger side, ideally 20s and 30s. -Past gig experience ideal, but not completely necessary if you have the chops & availability -Self-sufficient and quality gear If you feel like this is a project you’d be interested, please shoot me an email.
